Product Description

Our newly re-designed #2401 Reversible Bench Peg works great for holding small woodwind bodies (Bb clarinet, oboe, etc.) while trimming or sanding tenon corks. The peg supports the end of the instrument joint that needs the cork trimmed and the technician's body supports the opposite end.

Nicely machined from non-corrosive aluminum and high density thermoplastic, the reversible design offers a tapered convex surface that fits inside the bore to safely support the instrument and a shallow concave surface to support delicate bell tenons from the outside.

The Bench Peg consists of three pieces: a shaft, cone, and mounting flange. The flange mounts permanently into the side of the workbench (3/4" (19mm) hole required). Easy to use: simply insert the shaft into the mounting flange, position the cone for which ever end is needed and tighten thumb screw to lock cone in place. Place the end of the instrument on end of cone and use stomach or abdomen to hold instrument while trimming cork.
